Become a Minute-min!

Minute-min are volunteer sysadmins who respond within a minute's notice to network emergencies.

Your Reward

1. Become staff on IRCNow
2. Learn to run applications on BSD
3. Hang out with friends while improving IRC
4. Add a new work experience for your CV/resume
5. Help improve freedom on the internet

This is an unpaid position.

How to Apply

1. If you're new to Unix, complete the unix101 tutorial.
2. Join us over on IRC on #team and say hello!
3. Send an email to admin@ircnow.org
4. Rent an OpenBSD virtual private server from us.
5. If you already have your own OpenBSD server, you can try with your own hardware, but we cannot promise any support guarantees on 3rd-party hardware.
6. After you finish training, you'll get interviewed; if you qualify, you'll be promoted to minutemin staff!

Your Duties

1. Keep in regular contact with us on IRC
2. Commit to help your team for a minimum of 5 hours per week
3. Finish the IRCNow Bootcamp.
4. Help with admin and user support
