atactl: Hard disks

atactl is a useful tool that can be used to help provide diagnostic information for hard disks attached to a system.

If you need diagnostic information about a hard disk sd0 represents, type:

$ doas atactl sd0 identify

You could also turn off a disk by sleep command, the disk will be in sleep until next time it's powered on (when system reboots, turns on or returns from suspend state)
